Activate Pop Magics — setup guide

Run the installer. Double-click PopMagics-2.0.0-b2.pkg and follow the prompts. It installs Pop Magics into Applications for you — there is nothing to drag. That matters: the virtual camera is a system extension and macOS only activates it for an app in /Applications, which is exactly why we ship a package rather than a disk image.
Approve the camera extension. The first time you enable the camera, macOS asks for a one-time approval: open System Settings → Privacy & Security (on newer macOS: General → Login Items & Extensions) and allow the Pop Magics extension. This is a standard macOS step for every virtual camera.
Allow camera & microphone when macOS asks — that’s your webcam feeding your stage.
Restart your video app. Fully quit Zoom, Meet, Teams or OBS and reopen it, then pick “Pop Magics” in its camera list.
Sign in with your popmagics.com account on first run — your plan activates automatically.

If SmartScreen appears, that’s expected. Our installer is code-signed, but the certificate is new and still building reputation with Microsoft. Click “More info” → “Run anyway” and check the publisher reads Piruz Chaman Afruz.
Run the installer. The Pop Magics virtual camera registers during installation.
Windows 11 note: the standalone virtual camera requires Windows 11. On Windows 10, use Pop Magics through OBS.
Restart your video app. Fully quit Zoom, Teams or OBS and reopen it, then pick “Pop Magics” as the camera.
